In recent years, WiltonGroup has recruited a number
of graduates from Durham University who are building
their careers with us and we continue to offer similar
opportunities to new graduates.
This is a welcome association with Durham, which we
are building on through our continued sponsorship of
the University football team. From 2002 onwards, WiltonGroup
has helped to finance the provision of equipment and
coaching staff with a view to assisting Durham's footballers
achieve a similar level of sporting prowess to the more
established and successful Rugby and Cricket counterparts.
Jan King, DUAFC Captain comments: "Football
at Durham has often taken a back seat to the traditionally
stronger sports of Hockey, Rugby, Cricket and Rowing. From
October 2002, a new direction has been given to the club
helped hugely by the kind sponsorship provided by the WiltonGroup.
With luck, the results of these investments will be clear
to see over the next few years, as Durham University football
tries to force its way into the elite of Durham sports."
