Tony Barber


Tony Barber has been Chairman of the Wilton Group since 2007. He is a Director and Consultant to a number of Collective Investment Funds and companies in the financial services industry. Until 2007 he was a Commissioner with the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission, having held this position for nine years. Prior to his retirement he was Island Director, Isle of Man, of RBS International and he served in a number of managerial positions within the Royal Bank of Scotland Group over a 35 year period.

Tony Flanagan

Tony Flanagan


Tony Flanagan is the Managing Partner and Founder of Wilton. With over 25 years of experience, Tony possesses a wealth of knowledge in areas of taxation, trustee services and corporate finance, helping clients and businesses in the UK and internationally. Along with advising companies on acquisitions and fundraising, Tony has acted as an advisor to the board of both Albemarle & Bond Holdings Plc and OPG Power Ventures Plc in respect to their admissions to London’s AIM market. Tony has also advised luxury fashion and technology start-ups such as Farfetch, from initial concept through to their recent listing on the NYSE. Tony is a qualified member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and holds further qualifications in Business Administration and Business Marketing.

Nicole Hewson

Nicole is a Founding Member of Wilton and has worked with Tony Flanagan in our London, Dublin and Isle of Man offices. She qualified from University College Dublin in 1990 and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Nicole is a main Board Director of Wilton Group and she manages a diverse portfolio of high net worth clients. Nicole is highly respected in and has served as a Director of the Islands professional body, the Association of Corporate Service Providers. Nicole’s professional attitude ensures her team delivers a customer centric offshore service.

Denis McHugh

Denis McHugh


Denis has spent over 20 years in financial services with blue chip companies, having worked for Aviva, Mercer and Davy Stockbrokers (Dublin). Denis is a member of the Pensions Management Institute and he holds various qualifications in pensions and stockbroking plus a degree in computing. Denis’ expertise includes pension product design and trustee services. Prior to becoming CEO he was Managing Director of Hartley SAS.

James Robson

James Robson


James is the Head of Wealth Management at Wilton. He oversees the Financial planning, Investment management, Insurance and Lending affairs of the groups clients. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and works with individuals, families, charity’s and trusts to manage their wealth.

Neil Maclean-Smith

Neil Maclean-Smith


Neil joined the Wilton Group in November 2017 to take charge of the finance function and to work with the board to ensure that the Group is supported for future growth and development. Neil joined following 20 years providing financial direction to firms in the professional services sector. Neil has also been involved with a variety of other businesses providing finance director services to a private specialist hospital, a social housing property developer, a sports management company, a software start up business and as chief exec of the Welsh Rugby Players Association.

Theunis Bassage

Theunis Bassage


Theunis joined Wilton in May 2018 and heads the Corporate and Legal team. He is responsible for the management of the Relationship Managers and Family Office. Theunis has 27 years corporate legal experience. 10 years of which have been in Corporate Financial Services. He also worked as In –house Legal Counsel for an unlisted public company and for a large financial institution. Theunis is a South African Qualified lawyer having practiced as a lawyer for 6 years in a commercial law firm.

James Clerkin

James Clerkin


James heads Wilton’s team of tax consultants in London who advise international clients on all aspects of UK taxation. A qualified Chartered Tax Adviser with 20 years private client tax experience, James has advised many non-UK domiciled individuals on the tax implications of taking up UK residence and utilising the various tax planning opportunities and tax reliefs available to them.

Natalie Mitchell

Natalie joined Wilton in 2003 and is now Responsible for the Family Office and Business Support. She oversees the broad remit of the team from property management and marine services to monitoring client satisfaction. Natalie has established an enviable reputation within the Professional Service sector for delivering an efficient, speedy and streamlined service. Her approachable style of management helps create a strong team ethos that is reflected at every level of her operational activities.

Alan Molloy

Alan Molloy


Alan is a non-executive director of Wilton’s holding company since mid 2018, as well as in agreeing to take up the role of Group Head of Compliance. Alan is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute for Securities and Investment and a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers in Ireland. Alan has lived on the Isle of Man for 30+ years, with much of that time spent as Managing Director of a British private bank, which provided wealth and asset management services to high net worth individuals and families. Alan has spent the last six years providing business consultancy services and acting as a non-executive director to a small number of companies, including Hartley Pensions (prior to joining the holding company board).

Jane Zheng

Jane Zheng


Jane has been an officer and Director of China Food & Beverage Company since 1995 and oversees the company’s Far East operations. Jane’s extensive business and marketing experience has helped many Chinese SMEs to successfully achieve their business goals. Ms. Zheng also served as Vice President of operations for China and Vietnam for Gourmet’s Choice Coffee Company from 1999 until 2007. Jane holds an engineering degree from Shanghai University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Banking and Finance Management from Adelphi University in New York.

Michael Baber

Michael started as a Financial Adviser. After a number of years, he decided that his passion was within the technical side of financial services and in 2012 joined Wilton Pensions. He has an in-depth knowledge of HMRC and FCA regulations for all financial products. Michael is our Head of Training and encourages staff to gain a solid foundation of knowledge by studying for financial qualifications.

Wendy Nicholls CIPD

Wendy Nicholls CIPD


Wendy joined Wilton Pensions in November 2018 in a newly created role with the aim of providing vision and leadership for the challenges that come with scaling a business. She is also Head of People for the Wilton Group and is responsible for formulating their people strategy. Wendy started her career in the recruitment industry but has been operationally running businesses for over 10 years. She is passionate about creating a positive customer experience and is systematic in her approach to continually refining processes and developing the way that Wilton Pensions interacts with all its business partners. Whilst commercially focused, Wendy gets the most satisfaction from investing in and developing people who in turn provide exceptional service to customers. As well as a degree in business and management, she is fully CIPD qualified and holds a Prince2 qualification.

Ian Du Feu FCSI

Ian started his career as a stockbroker in London. After 15 years Ian established, built and eventually sold two investment and wealth planning businesses in Guernsey. Ian has subsequently been providing offshore solutions for UHNWs/PFOs, including but not limited to debt issuance and the application of captive insurance. Ian has over 40 years of financial services experience, has sat on the Board’s of stock exchange listed funds, is a fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute. Ian is an experienced practitioner in all aspects of investment, insurance, life assurance and fund management.

John Dupont

John Dupont


John has worked within the financial services industry for over 20 years, covering areas including taxation and trust planning to corporate finance. John has extensive experience in working with HNW individuals, SME’s and family offices to assist with strategic corporate structuring, private equity and corporate debt. This has included the creative use of captive insurance for qualifying corporate entities. Over the past 10 years, John has advised, structured and helped fund businesses within a wide range of sectors including financial technology, real estate and renewable energy.

Richard Muckle


Richard has worked in financial markets for over 25 years with the last 20 years in the Alternative/Family office area. During this time he worked in London, NY, HK, Japan, Cayman Islands and Luxembourg. Most recently Richard has been structuring debt products for a family office, as well as sitting as a non-executive director of a Cayman Islands company offering alternative structures. In the last five years Richard has specialised in debt markets, trading, risk, operations and trust structuring for family offices.
